Shay, do you remember the EE roo that you took this August at the meetup?

Do you still have him? My kids were curious what he looks like now.

Thanks!

Becky~

For those that asked about the Sussex, I'm considering selling this almost year old roo -he has some minor frostbite damage on the back of his comb - and at least 3 of these hens.

The one hiding behind the roo's tail is the only one that is definitely a layer only. She has lousy feather quality unfortunately. Three of the hens in my opinion are nice enough for the breeding pen. The last hen is on the smaller side, but her feather quality is good. I would leave the decision whether or not to use her for breeding up to anyone interested in the others. I won't be using her as I am keeping 3 of last year's breeder hens along with 4 of last year's hatch (2 Coros, and 2 splits).

They all have the calm inquisitive nature of the breed. The small hen is the one I'm always stepping on.

Is that the bunny that was making a nest last week? How's the turkey hen doing?
