Chickenstock in West Gardiner, Maine Oct. 12

Malbri I honestly think it is a cockerel and a pullet, because one is larger, heavier, appears to have denser bone structure, and seems a bit more agressive. However, they are only about 7 months old, I just cant really tell by physical appearance. I am a cochin girl myself. Maybe you will have a better idea when you see them.

Haha cockerel and pullet, thats what I thought I was getting last time:p, turned out with 2 roos.
I'm going to have to pass, only girls for me this time around, Im technically not allowed to have roos, and I already have one:p

But you are the one bringing cochin bantams right? Some of those must be pullets, am I right?

So is this thing inside or in like the parking lot? I'm trying to think if im thinking of the right place.

I am bringing both Munchkin and Scooter, I want to rehome Munchkin (even have a large container of mash to go free with him)! I am bringing Scooter too so I can locate a happy cute chick that will cohabitate with him and stand up to Penny once they meet. But first I want to make sure my Scooter likes his new lady, preferably a bantam cochin.
Please, please someone have a bantam girlie that will get along with him!!!!!!! We need some love at first site!!! (I may bring two girls home if they are cute enough)
mmajw- shhhhh don't mention this to DH he is working- heehee heeeee.

I went telling myself only a few bantams, and knowing I wasnt allowed to have another roo, and what did I come home with? 4 bantam cochin pullets and 1 roo.

congrats on your new babies. My daughter went to the one in Deerfield, NH. I would have liked to go to either but both are too far away from me and I don't drive. It is a beautiful day for it. You should post pics!!

Thanks Krista for the good deal on the frizzle, sizzle, and ameraucana cockerel! They seem happy with the flock- no one's getting picked on, at least.

Glad we were finally able to connect. Thanks for hanging on to them for so long for me.
