Chickenstock in West Gardiner, Maine Oct. 12

Sounds like it was a fun day. I didn't go because I traveled up to Fairfield on Saturday, and got 7 beautiful Ameraucana hens and a rooster for $20.00. I've gotten 2 blue eggs so far. The woman has more roosters to sell which are well taken care of and healthy. My rooster is black and silver, is under a year old and really nice to the hens. The ad was in Uncle Henry's this past week. Merry

I hatch everyone here myself, mostly shipped eggs. So I have to keep track of incubating and hatch dates

Gaaa .... I didn't make it yesterday. I ended up spending most of the day clearing brush that had encroached on my horse paddock and where the fox appear to have been hiding as we found the carcass of one of my guineas when we cleared.

Was there by any chance anyone here who had laying hens (at this point not too particular as to breed)? I know it's a long shot and I'll probably end up buying eggs from my neighbor but I have to ask.
