I will definitely come. I am looking for a barred rock rooster and maybe a few barred rock pullets and buff orpington pullets and would love to buy some there. I'm excited !!!! Anyone that might be selling any of above let me know.

I am hatching some buff orps from Hinkjc here. I am selling them straight run. They will be hatching around 10/1. You just missed my BR roosters. I just gave them away with 2 pullets.

OK, I am just too lazy to check right now, but does anyone know how far this is from Portland?
Thanks
Krista

Up the turnpike, probably 1 1/2 hour, if you drive like a hen coming out of a cull pile!
You may not want to check, but you better or you'll be mad at me if I lied, lol. I can generally make it from Portland exit to Lewiston exit in 1 hour, and probably 1/2 maybe 3/4 of an hour to Augusta (1st exit).
Looking forward to meeting you!
Kel

If you come up 295 it will take about 45 mins. I travel West Gardiner to Portland alot on 295 and it never takes more than an hour.

that's doable. Hopefully my appenzeller spitzhauben, la fleche, ancona and some silkies show me their gender by then

omg are you selling a le fleche klf73??? I've always wanted one of those... though DH wouldnt be too happy. He just thinks Im going to chickenstock to *get rid* of chickens. Hey, if he wants to live in his little fantasy world...

Don't forget that Central Maine Bird Fanciers is holding its Fall Show October 5 a the Windsor Fairgrounds. There will be a Youth Open Show and a Junior Showmanship portion. If anyone knows of any families who's kids are between ages 6-18 and want to learn more about Showmanship, they should go to the show. If there's enough interest, Club volunteers will be on hand to give newbie's a lesson on what it's all about.

I hear its going to be a really nice show, I'm looking forward to hanging out and learning a few things!

melilem...your husband would certainly know better then that, wouldn't he?

My DH goes into the convo slowly, he works weekends, how was it, see anyone you know, what kinds of chickens, how many did you fall in love with, what are we building this week. We just moved the 500 lb meat bird hutch so we can have room for Bantam Cochins...and I'm thinking I have 2 roos and the older one is learning to crow over Cheerios each morning!! (they are in the house!!!!!!)

Oh and BTW, anyone buying from melilem, FrozenFeathers and also mmajw I can say from personal experience that they raise and care about their birds. I have much respect for these ladies and any birds that I have gotten from them have been terrific.

(edited for spell check and punctuation- duh)
