Oh good
to bad i cant bring a rabbit hutch lol

LOL! I remember the Year of the Silkies! There were jillions of them, but they sold like hotcakes! People couldn't get enough of them, and some of the more affluent attendees were bidding 50 bucks a bird!!!

The next year, nobody wanted silkies.

Well, they sold, but not for the year-before's prices.

Shay20, you could bring your rabbit hutches to auction off. I've seen hutches and large incubators auctioned there. As long as it's clean and not broken, somebody will want it.

I don't think I've seen a goose there before!

Assuming I can get my act together tomorrow evening I'll have some of these:

bantam splash fav hen, 6 months old along with another splash who isn't quite as showy

troublemaker bantam blue salmon pullet (where's my FOOD?)

and 3 friends like her, 2 of which are salmons

plus a bantam blue salmon cockerel who is again hiding. He could have better toes, but he's a pretty light blue and nice yard candy

I also have some 7 month old bantam black fav hens and 4 month old blue/black bantam fav pullets. I'll have to see how many I can catch tomorrow night.

keesmom,
About 6 years ago, someone brought some beautiful buff geese. I remember some auctions that had Embdens too, just a few years ago. They aren't as common as ducks, but "Goose Happens" some years.

P.S. Your birds (in the photos) are beauties!

I am bringing to the auction. A pair of pekin ducks 4 months old, 10 muscovies 6 weeks old. May bring my turkeys. A black spanish hen and a bronze male. And how about button quail. I have about 5 or 6 to rehome.

Do they take hatching eggs at the auction? I also have a large cage . Was used for a pair of cockatiels.sits on its own stand. It is a baby blue color. Barely used.

I don't remember anyone ever bringing eggs, but I am sure that they would be accepted as long as they are carefully packaged and labeled so people know what they are.

my dh would kill me if i went to this!

I may bid on your buff goose! My 11-year-old African gander is a "widower," and while I am hoping to find an African or Chinese goose, I would like to find any suitable mate for him so he'll stop pestering the ducks!

Buffs seem to be so gentle too. A very lovely breed.
