Chickies + Mealworms = Savages!

I have two chickies in with 8 two week old button quail. Normally, they're very calm and gentle, but tonight, I tossed some mealworms in for the first time, and they turned into total savages. The button babies literally hid in the corner to prevent from being trampled by the two chickies who were fighting over the mealworms! That was insane! I've fed them all flightless fruitflies, but I've never gotten a reaction like this, lol. I'll have to start feeding mealies more often.

I raise my own mealworms so my chickens get "the treat" quite often and it never changes. They are always savages. Not only is the treat good for them, it is good for me. The comic relief that is.
