Chickpeas are like crack to hens

I soaked and boiled a pot of chickpeas/garbanzo beans this week. I let them cool overnight. To my great surprise (not really because the darn girls eat everything) the mother cluckers went absolutely bezerk over those little pale balls of delight. You know they love something when they grunt while eating it...

Anyone else feed your ladies chickpeas?
