It's Summer time... kick them little runts to the curb! If you are that worried about them freezing to death, hang a bulb over them. What kind of brooder? A huge plastic bin with lid, cut open hole on lid and staple hardware cloth wire over it so that cats can't get into it if you are worried about that. Done deal!

That’s what we were thinking. The only thing I worry about is snakes and rats but I mean they would have to work to get into the porch to begin with.

Strong, small hole hardware cloth will keep out both rats and snakes.
