Chicks and layer feed

Hi I'm still fairly new to chickens and I was wondering if it's okay if my 13wk old chickens eat the layer feed with the hens? They have been eating the layer feed more then their chickens grower feed.

I'd wait until they are laying (at least half of them) before giving them layer. Another option is an all flock with oyster shell on the side for the layers.

Better to feed the entire flock grower or all flock, than have chicks eating the adult's diet.
