I had my first bunch of chicks a few months ago. I was PARANOID!!!! Everything was a huge disaster. Pasty butt
..OMG it was like the impending apocalypse. However now with my 13 new kids, its pretty cool. Things are taken in stride.
My mother made the reference as we were conversing over mothers day dinner. She claimed that kids and chickens were very similar. She said her and dad had me to the doctor every week cause I had a cough or farted sideways or whatever. My sister who came a few years later only went when it was absolutely necessary. I guess what Im saying is, its nice to know generally whats going to happen.
