I have 2 chippy EE and 1 blue and wheat color and one darker like that. Love them and they have been sweet chicks

I love that you got right down there and took the pics at their level. What CUTE peeps they are!! Good luck getting all of that building done this month - you're a BRAVE one to take all of that on at once!

I think of it as the difference between show (Americanas) and pet (Easter Eggers) quality AKC dogs. Both my bassets have features (ears a tad too short, legs a tad too long that sort of thing) that would probably insure they wouldn't do too well in the show ring. But stop any one on the street and ask them what kind of dogs they are, the answer would be "basset hound". So Easter Eggers are pet--or I think of it as barnyard-- quality Americanas. People on this forum can, however, get quiet passionate about it all. The word "mutt" gets tossed around a lot. When asked, the chickens themselves didn't care a bit one way or the other.

Thanks. Having my own business allows me some free time between projects, so I try to plan around it for stuff around the house. I will be digging my 14 holes for my new deck that goes around the pool today. Just got back from Home Depot with the rented auger. Once they are done I have to wait for the first inspection, which will give me some time to resume the coop.
All this work will culminate with a big Memorial Day Party that Saturday with 50 of our closest friends and neighbors!
