My fiancé surprised me with 6 bantam chicks tonight. I set up their home, and as I was setting up I noticed on was sprawled out. I starting googling, and thought it might be wry neck. We ran out and got vitamins and pedialyte. When we got back, 2 more were doing the same. I gave them all vitamins, and within 10 minutes they were dead. I now have 3 left and I'm so scared for them. I don't know what's wrong. I've raised 16 other chicks of various breeds and they are all currently happy and healthy. Please help

Do you have them under a brooder lamp for heat, and is that lamp one for chicks? Theyh shoulkd be kept around 90 degrees F the first week in the warmest area of the floor of the brooder with a cooler spot to get to, and use a thermometer. Do you have any electrolytes such as SaveAchick, pedialyte, or gatorade that you can get them to drink by dipping their beaks as often as possible tonight?Okay, I see that yoj did that. Make sure they aren't to hot or too cold. Bantams can be more delicate in the beginning, and they might have been stressed in shipping or got too cold on the way home. Sorry for your loss, and let us know how the others get along.

Thanks for replying. The 3 left seem to be doing okay. Yes I have them under a lamp and it's the right temperature. It just happened so fast- started with 6 chicks running around and within the hour 3 are dead. I've never seen anything like it.
