we had one of our 10 bantam cochins that hatched last night.

I did post originally that my eggs were due the 21st though.

Deb, what did you say the SS on your eggs meant? My eggs are in lockdown

6 polish, 2 cochin, 2 SLW, 1 SS, 1 mystery, 3 EE made it to the final cut. Time for the nose pressed to the bator, flashlight in hand! I wonder if those peeps feel like super stars, mine are always in the spotlight!

the mystery egg looks like the SS or a SLW from the outside, it could be something completely different. Time will tell . . . . I love surprises!

I need more brooder room too. I have 3 tubs of peeps in the dining room

I think I will combine 2 of them since they are only a few days apart, maybe then my family won't notice the new peeps

I put Glendas beautiful eggs into the incubator I hatch in then I put Nellies eggs into the other one. I left Jim's beautiful Iowa Blues in the one they are in and added Silver Cuckoo marans eggs Buttttt later today I will candle Nellie's eggs then have room for Jims in there with them

I use my Hovabator to keep them in once they hatch to fluff so I need to plug it in and get it up to temp
