well, i was surprised when i woke up this morning. i thought by upping the humidity my little zipper would be able to release herself but that was not so. i just spent a little time over the sink flaking away some top shell and removing the crusty membrane around the zip. i put her back in the incubator, hoping she has the strength to wiggle out the rest of the way herself. how long should i wait?? this is so stressing me out... i was also surprised to see that we had another hatch, i didnt even remember if that egg was pipped last night, i was so concerned with the other 2. and of course no surprise is that my little helper from last night, who i non-originally named shelly (parts of shell still stuck to her back) is not fluffed. i dont think she will ever fluff, lol, she needs a bath! i read a little bit on that and have decided i probably wont bathe these sticky butts, dont want to do more harm than good. so they will just sit in the incubator to gain strength before i add them to the other 20.
i hope everyone elses night was less stressful and more productive than mine. i also want to send encouraging thoughts to those who have had struggles and losses this hatch, i know what you're going through.

if you have save a chick , or Gatorade or even sugar water, give them a drink. I put my new hatched babies in a fish tank with a light for a couple of days before they go in with the group. Good luck. Deb

Oh, I am to vote on a recipe. It would have to be the Chicken Monterey.

It was a tough decision with all the chicken Recipes.
