Yes, it has made a hole through the external membrane. It has been about 16 hours since the pip. I am not at home but I had my husband check. He said it was the same as this morning. I will know more in 30 minutes.

I will keep you posted. I had one pip before then turn upside down and smother, and 1 zip and turn upside down and smother. So I am a little paranoid when it comes to them pipping on the wrong end.

I will be rushing home, no stops for me today and checking out the situation!

oh and the first to hatch was my pullet egg that was SO TINY that I put in the bator just to see what would happen.

recipe:

1 lb margarine
1/2 pound sharp cheddar cheese, grated
1/2 pound romano cheese, grated
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp worschesire (sp?) sauce


mix all, store in fridge. spread on french bread and broil till bubbly. MMMMM

I started helping the peep and couldn't find its beak. It was peeping and the membrane was very dry. I found the beak at the other end from the pip, so it must have turned around. It started bleeding so it is back in the bator for a few more hours. It does have plenty of room for air though. I do have a EE out
