Chicks from Indigo Egg

yesterday I recieved my new silkies from Bobbi Porto from Indigo Egg in Florida. I got 4 whiteand 2 blue 8 week old chicks and a 5 month splash rooster and blue hen! I am so excited and they are beautiful, especially the whites, they are already super fluffy.

Congrats! I almost had to get some eggs from there. It seems like a pretty nice silkie site.

But I decided not to because shipped eggs = not good lol.

I have 10 silkie chicks in the brooder right now. They'll be a week old tomorrow. They are so fluffy and CUTE!

I got eggs from her and hatched 5 cuties a couple of weeks ago.

I thought about eggs also but have heard that the x-ray machines kill so many I just bit the bullet and got some started stock. I already had silkies but they were hatchery birds except some I got from a local lady, and they are looking very nice also. I am trying hard to improve my stock. I want to ge rid of my birds with bad feet etc, but my 11 year old son is attched to them and pitches a fit when I talk about it.

It is hard to keep so many seprate pens!
