Let Your Light Shine ~ Matthew 5:16 🤍✝️
I’ve used a thermometer, it’s 83 degrees under the lamp, and 77 on the cool side. (they’re 1.5 weeks old) and they seem pretty happy.Better to put the heat lamp at the opposite end from the feed and water so that the chicks can decide how warm or cool they want to be.
You should have a good quality thermometer under the lamp so that you know how warm it is and can adjust the lamp to keep them at an appropriate temperature.
Too hot is just as dangerous as too cold.
You may not be able to tell from the photo but the heat lamp is towards one side of the brooder, and the water stays cool.
