Right... he looks like an owl... I dont know if he's a boy or girl... but plan on breeding back to a cohin, The dominnet gene for tuft ears should transfer over into the cochins...

Thank you... You can see the cochin in his feet and the araucana in the ear tufts.. there is no ameraucana blood in the mix... the pen only has cochin and araucanas...

They sure are cute, and now you have bonus birds... and you also know that AGE isn't what matters as far as being able to breed or not! If they can lay an egg, and there's a rooster to cover the hens, they can hatch! Chickens can't read a calendar!

Growing quite well... Im not sure what im gonna do with them yet... I know Im keeping owl... but dont wanna risk mixing the ones that might be pure araucana with the araucanas... im just gonna wait until next season, when there each in there own pen... they will probly be able to free range and have run of the ranch.. unlike the pure breeds.. who will be confind to there own pen.
