Chicks have coccidiosis...should I treat the entire flock?

Noticed some blood in the droppings of my 5-week-olds last night and checked today and there is more. First time dealing with cocci in my flock but it's been extremely wet and muddy this spring AND my chickens have been sick with MG so I guess I shouldn't be surprised. I will hopefully be getting Corid tomorrow and plan to treat my entire chicken flock. Should I also treat my Muscovy ducks just in case?

Thanks. Should I remove the duck's pool for the 7 days of treatment? And Corid is safe for ducks, right? I will be doing the 1 1/2 teaspoons of powder per gallon for 7 days.

Yes, yes. Coccidiosis is just as deadly to ducks as it is to chickens, though it would likely be a strain that targets ducks. Chickens have up to nine strains of coccidia that target chickens, so I imagine ducks have their coccidia that specialize in making ducks sick. Corid treats all strains of coccidia.

The duck pool must be removed during the week of treatment. Remember to give them all vitamin B complex when treatment is completed to replenish precious B-vitamins that Corid has blocked for a week.
