Chicks imbilical cord still attached?

I had a chick hatch and the imbilical cord was still attached i thought it would fall off after a few mineutes. But it hasn't yet. What should i do?

I would give it time, usually if it's still attached to the egg it will break away itself. If you have to you can tie it and cut it near (but not too close) to the belly. If it's just a hair width holding it you can just cut it. Whatever you do do not pull it to separate it.

Leave the chick in incubator until it falls off on it's own. Putting it with other chicks or in anyway causing it to prematurely detach will cause bleeding. It likely will bleed some anyway but best to let it come off by itself.

Finally it detached from the egg shell. Hopefully it will fall off of her soon.
