Chicks in adult run?

I will be partitioning my covered run with chicken wire to let 5 - 6 week old chicks have some space and get to know the older ones. I am concerned if I need to replace the existing layer of dirt with fresh soil. Thinking of bacteria etc. Thank you.

Nope. That's exactly what they need to be exposed to.

Thank you. The last batch of chicks I had were raised by mom, which certainly wasn't a clean environment, but never raised hatchery ones before.
