chicks in shipping-- tell me not to panic

I agree with the others they only look to be about a month old. They still have their fluff on their heads. I also use Sav-a-chick in their water but Poultry Nutri-Drench is good too. Good luck and have fun...

Even then, I get throat they're different breeds, but my 4 week chicks have more feathering then them

I've never heard the rule of shipping only chicks or adults. I know a few breeders who are willing to shipp 2 week chicks

Check out the rules and regulations on UPS and USPS websites. UPS specifically prohibits birds of any type and USPS will only ship day old or adult. That is straight from their rules.

What I'm saying though is that if your current birds are healthy, they won't infect the new ones, even if the new ones were vaccinated, they could have Mareks and infect your current flock because the vaccine does not stop them from contracting or spreading the disease.

The mareks vaccine is 'leaky'. What it does is prevent the bird that was vaccinated from dying (more or less, I'm sure it's not fullproof), but they are still contagious. So while an unvaccinated bird would get mareks, get sick, youd notice and quarentine it from the flock.... a vaccinated bird would get mareks, not get sick, and run around and give it to way more of your other birds than if it had quietly deteriorated in the corner and been removed. So if ALL of your birds are vaccinated, they could all get it and not get sick, and all is fine, but if some have it and some dont, the vaccinated ones are much more likely to give it to the unvaccinated ones. Granted, if you have like 4 chickens in a tiny coop, both situations might give everyone mareks, but I have a ton of birds on a ton of land, so I opted against the vaccine.

The parents may be slow feathering instead of fast feathering.

Be sure to dose concentrated corid by mouth to each chick 1x daily for the next couple of days along with in their waterer.

With the stress of shipping, they may not drink enough medication before going down hill fast.

I looked again and the slow growth pattern does not present like this.

OK please tell me (1) what concentration to make the dose, and (2) how much to give per chick. I have 20% Corid and also have an eyedropper that I have found to work well with chicks. Thanks much.

I know with 9.6% corid, i give about 3-4 drops each 1x daily for 2 days so they are feeling good enough to drink the medicated water.

Ive never used 20%.

IF IT WERE ME, and an emergency, i would give 1-2 drops daily.
Someone may be able to give you a better answer.
