This is my 4th order from My Pet Chicken and they are always healthy. I've had a couple of cases of pasty butt, but I knew what to do and it cleared up. This time I have 2 with pasty butt and an ugly large pink swelling right below vent. I've kept the area clean with Q-tips, warm water and olive oil but the swelling is bad and neither chick is doing well - lethargic and won't eat or drink. The male won't lie down but just stands with his head down, rocking a bit. The female just lays down alot. The male is doing worse than the female, I think
I called MPC to let them know and they didn't have any info on the swelling.
I've got a friend coming down shortly with some plain yogurt.
