We have lost 4 chicks in the last 48 hours. Nothing seems to be causing this. THey are healthy and active and then we check on them and one will be dead.

What could the cause be?

Sorry about your chicks. How old are they? How long have you had them/ were they shipped? How many are there total? Can you post a picture/ describe your brooder set up and what you are using for a heat source etc...

More details are needed. Where did your chicks come from, what are the ages? Coccididosis is pretty common in chicks a few weeks old. Newborn chicks may suffer from shipping stress for the first week or so, and giving electrolytes such as SaveAChick or Pedialyte and dipping their beaks as often as possible may help. Some chicks may be weak and not make it.
