Chihuahuas: Input...UPDATE!!

I've been following along since the beginning of the thread and I say...

If you can afford the cost of keeping two dogs...GO FOR IT

Two dogs are better than one in my honest opinion.

Go for them! I much prefer two dogs than one. They help entertain each other when I can't be with/play with them. They are beautiful!

Now I NEED a Cavachon. I am putting it right on the top of my Christmas list for this year. Now I have to be a really really good girl!

JMO, but 2 are perfect--one for under each arm when you are snoozing on the couch! I do this with a pair also, except mine are a Dobie and a GSD! The little girls you posted sound absolutely adorable and will need lots of love and affection after they lose their current "person". You seem like just the sort who can give them what they need. I do hope this works out for you and them!

All best wishes for success!

My mom has a chihuahua and he is the yappiest stinking dog I ever met. He yaps 24/7 and he also snaps. My kids know that they have to be careful around him. I am thankful that years ago my father broke him of biting hard. Now he just puts his mouth on you and the fact that he is missing most his teeth due to age. I wouldn't recommend him for you in your case. Sounds like the dogs your interested in are great!!! Good luck!

No, not that easy. 1. I am still thinking about it. 2. She is interviewing people for the next several weeks and won't make a decision until she meets everyone. She has another month or so to do this, since the owner has not yet died (I hope that doesn't sound sick, I don't mean it to be). So she's taking her time and not giving anyone answers until she meets everyone that she wants to. The dogs aren't going anywhere until after the woman dies, they're staying with her until the end, which is a good thing really. Meanwhile, I'm still thinking. To be honest, I'm scared. On one hand I really want to try for them, but on the other hand, I'm afraid I'll be like, "Oh my god, what did I do?" I know I am probably overanalyzing, but I just take it very seriously, like adopting a child. It's just not a decision I can make in a couple of days.
