Child At Heart, Monster By Nature (A Shape Shifting RP)

(Don't be so hard on yourself, it doesn't bother me. I was only teasing. I know everyone does it, including me, only difference I can see their mistakes easier than my own.)
Amaryllis let her tears run freely at Ryker's gentle words. "I never doubted that you loved him." She assured him quietly. She knew Anuerin didn't feel loved by his father, but she could see the love Ryker had for him; even when Ryker couldn't express it to his son.

Nova smiled at that and shook her head "That was understandable and already forgotten, but thank you for the apology. I'm sorry if I said or did anything to make it worse for you to be back here again." She said then dipped her head and looked to the sand at her feet. "For what it's worth, I'm glad you are here and I hope that your sister gets better. Maybe we could convince her to come on a walk out here tomorrow or sometime. I mean, she might want to try swimming or just sunbathing?" She said nervously.
"No. It's good for me, to be doing this." He thought aloud, as he looked back over the horizon to avoid her gaze. It'd been so long since he last opened his heart to someone, to protect himself from emotional pain, that didn't come naturally to him. But he hoped to overcome his struggles with Nova's help. "We should bring Amaryllis here, she would like that." He replied after a period of thought.

Elliot looked at Asa, quietly knowing he was right. And Elliot was a man who wanted to become better. He responded simply “Asa, you’re right.” He pauses, before growled darkly “But do not tell me who I am. After meeting me two days ago.” He continued, calmed down some “My emotions need to come in check, I agree. And I will not let them get in the way of this mission.” He muttered at the end, “And be grateful I didn’t respond to your attack.”
Asa cocked his head in obvious anger of Elliot's words. He took a slow, deep breath, harnessing his anger. Then his anger was replaced with a normal, human emotion of joy. "If your so confident in yours skills, and it would make you happy, why don't you give me your best punch?" He asked, tucking his hands behind his back. He wasn't kidding; he wanted to see if Elliot was man enough to put his word to action.

"Vasper nodded and said, " You practically have to. There's a bunch of thieving critters around here and no unprotected snacks are safe." He chuckled as they walked out of the gym into the hallway. He glanced to Layla curiously before asking. "You ever hear voices in your head?"
~~~
Willow purred as she pressed backwards into his warm embrace. "No. Not at all. Is this distracting?" She asked as she stretched to wipe down the table with a dish cloth as far as she could reach from her position.
~~~
"You can do the honors of hunting him up. If my lioness scent gets in the way, then sniff for that Ashton's funkiness." She said with a wrinkled nose. "I don't envy you that test." Madison added with humor.

(Two words: Dysfunctional Family. :plbb You think I need to readjust my thoughts on interesting dynamics, but yet you put it into words exactly how I saw them. They're both broken in vastly different ways. It's the journey of how they heal eachother. )
Alastor looked to her quietly as she spoke her truthful words. It was only then, that he realized just how broken he really was. She forgave him and it hurt him to watch her turn to leave. "Stay...not because I'm giving you something.....but because you want to." He heard himself say with a shaky voice while he stood there holding the kit she'd so diligently picked up.

(That is true, they both need a hug! now they can be broken together and hug it out! )

Layla chuckled, it was probably a good thing she wasn't too into snacks then. She cocked her head and gave him a puzzled look. "Do you mean like my voice in my head, or like other voices in my head?" She asked for clarification.

Adrian gave a husky laugh, "No not distracting at all. But I do think I should check your pizza, wouldn't want it to burn or anything." As he moved to go check on the oven he let out a low breath, very distracting, very distracting indeed. But then again he was pretty sure she knew that already despite what he said.

Saskia smiled and moved in front of Madison and closed her eyes focusing on just the scents in the hallway. " Alright, I am going to follow Ashton scent, its mixed with a old lion scent, this way. Ugh your right, she smells a bit like swamp under it all." She said as headed off in the direction directed, she stuck out her tongue at Madison to convey her dislike of the smell. "So tell me about this lion, is he purdy?" She took a right down a different hall, stopping a bit to catch the scent again.

Eliana paused at the door, her hand extended towards the knob. He sounded as broken now as he actually was, and that made her a bit sad remembering his kindness before. She thought about it for a moment, did she want to stay? He was the first person to be kind to her and to believe she was capable of change. She turned back and looked at him, in the center of his lab, looking so dejected. "Alright, I'll stay. I never really got to drink my tea anyways, and I broke the mug. I am sorry about that, and the counter." She replied quietly as she turned and walked back over to him. "Do you..need help with anything?" She asked looking up at him. It would be better to stay here with him, even after all that had happened, maybe because all that had happened, then to go back and sit alone.

Zaine hadn't meant to bring up sad memories such as that, and he really wasn't expecting such an honest answer, but she seemed fine. He moved to lean against the wall, the sketch pad still in his hands. It was easier having a conversation such as this when there was something else to look at. "A large family, um, up north. I was the seventh out of eight, so there was never a boring moment, that's for sure." He turned the page slowly, delaying to give himself time to think up a better answer. He had a relatively happy home life, with a best friend and land to roam free? But she was in and out of foster homes that didn't want her, and the lab was a safe haven for her. Nothing appropriate came to mind. "Nice shading," he said, after what felt like an eternity of silence, pointing somewhat vaguely to the current sketch.

(Wow is this like the longest conversation he has had with someone where he is actually being nice?! :th )

Lyra sensed that he was uncomfortable about something, so she didn't press. "Wow that is a big family, I am sorry you had to leave it. So, what animal are you these days?" She asked to change the subject for him without making it more awkward.

(In his defense, she's like the only decent [in his opinion] person he's talked to :rolleyes: Yeah Dimitri's great, but he's loud and obnoxious in Zaine's eyes, same for Andorra and Alexis, Donella's barely said a word to him after getting upset that he talked to Zoe's twin [which was a nice enough conversation], and Willow was a sleazy creeper in his sheltered opinion :lol: )

"Not as sorry as I am," Zaine said under his breath. It hurt, and it had every day since being away. But surprisingly talking about it now didn't hit so hard as he would have thought, for which he was grateful. He shifted slightly on his feet to get more comfortable against the wall. "Owl. A long eared owl," he said. Looking up to meet her gaze, now that he felt the conversation was on safer grounds, he said, "And yourself?"

"No. It's good for me, to be doing this." He thought aloud, as he looked back over the horizon to avoid her gaze. Nova looked back to him and smiled again. It would be nice to bring the other girl out here and just have some good fun, without threats or anything. That was if she didn't get locked up for allowing him out here. Ah well, what was done was done and she wouldn't change it. She liked just being here with him now.

Elliot responded simply “I’m going to be the bigger man here. Just let me know when we’re leaving.” He looked down at the floor, but at an angle so that he could see his feet in case Asa was going to attack.

William chuckled, "you've got the paleness down alright, and even the sharp teeth. But your too sweet to be a vampire." He said with a smile as he laid down next to her. He didn't think she was going to actually bite him, but even if she did she wouldn't seriously hurt him. "What does that make us then, a dragon and a vampire?" He asked with a laugh.
Leah looked at him and giggled, rolling over to face him. She sighed softly “A dragon and a vampire. The dragon protects the little vampire.” She smiled dreamily at the story, before asking meekly “Can I Call you my dragon? Or do you not like that name?”

Lucy scoffed, disbelieving of that statement. "Me? Not able to handle caffeine? Pfft." She waved a hand, as if pushing the ridiculous thought away. She began to walk off but turned around once more to face him. "Wait. There's caffeine in tea? I never knew that! That would explain..." With that realization settled in, she burst out laughing, made all the more loud by the caffeine.
Victor looked at her with a wide mouth, incredulous she was so crazy. He smiled at her, asserting softly “You’re such a child.” After a couple of seconds he reassured “And I love that about you.” He looked into her eyes, seeing if she took offense to that or...
