Child At Heart, Monster By Nature (A Shape Shifting RP)

Leah looked at him and giggled, rolling over to face him. She sighed softly “A dragon and a vampire. The dragon protects the little vampire.” She smiled dreamily at the story, before asking meekly “Can I Call you my dragon? Or do you not like that name?”

William chuckled, he wasn't sure a dragon would need to protect a vampire but he supposed under certain circumstances it might be needed. " I do not mind, I am technically a dragon, or part one. You know Komodo dragon and all that." He said with a smile then he realized something and looked down at her curiously. "You just said 'my dragon', am I yours now?"

(In his defense, she's like the only decent [in his opinion] person he's talked to  Yeah Dimitri's great, but he's loud and obnoxious in Zaine's eyes, same for Andorra and Alexis, Donella's barely said a word to him after getting upset that he talked to Zoe's twin [which was a nice enough conversation], and Willow was a sleazy creeper in his sheltered opinion  )

"Not as sorry as I am," Zaine said under his breath. It hurt, and it had every day since being away. But surprisingly talking about it now didn't hit so hard as he would have thought, for which he was grateful. He shifted slightly on his feet to get more comfortable against the wall. "Owl. A long eared owl," he said. Looking up to meet her gaze, now that he felt the conversation was on safer grounds, he said, "And yourself?"

(Haha I get it. I like how he sees Willow as a sleazy creeper, lol. )

Lyra wanted to offer him some sort of comfort seeing his discomfort of remembering his family. But she also knew that the safest thing might be to just move on. She wasn't sure how he would take her trying to comfort him, after all they had just met, she didn't want to seem weird. So she stuck to the easier thing of animals. "Oh, you can fly then, that's a whole lot better then mine. Don't laugh, I am a spotted skunk. Its a cute little critter that gets a stinky wrap." She said with a quiet chuckle, she used to get teased at Rykers for being a skunk.

Leah nodded at his explanation, but looked at him fearfully once he asked the question, hoping he wasn’t angered over what she had said. Leah quickly corrected, “No, I’m sorry. You belong to yourself of course.”

Victor looked at her with a wide mouth, incredulous she was so crazy. He smiled at her, asserting softly “You’re such a child.” After a couple of seconds he reassured “And I love that about you.” He looked into her eyes, seeing if she took offense to that or...
When her laughter had subsided enough to do so, she replied. "Legally, maybe, but I'd hoped my personal maturity reached beyond the label of 'child'," Lucy said, still chuckling.

Zaine chuckled, more at her reaction to her own statement than what she was stating. "A spotted skunk? You don't say. I've never met one personally—until now, that is—but I've seen pictures and they're certainly cute critters." He closed the book but didn't hand it over immediately. "Would it make you uncomfortable to shift now so I can see?" She had him genuinely curious about this animal.

Victor laughed with her, appreciating his time with her. Meeting her was great; he had found a lot of enjoyment in her company. He chuckled “Don’t think so. You fit the ‘kid cant handle caffeine’ cliche perfectly”.

(Good then I'm playing her right. I think I'll have Andorra give Zaine a beat down for seeing Dimitri obnoxious. :p She wicked loyal to her friends and Zaine is really one of them.)

"Well you, you fit the..." Lucy sputtered and mumbled as she searched for a good retort. "I don't know."

William sighed, it had gone right over her head. "Its ok, I wasn't trying to imply that you own me. It was more a comment on our relationship, what I am too you." He laughed quietly laying back and looking at the clear blue sky, he wasn't surprised she didn't get it. He supposed she was not used to such statements or questions in the meaning with which he meant.
