Ashton looked at the level and made a perturbed face. " And I suppose you chose that height, because it's my height..... right? What are you a carnival ride? " She asked with a bit of annoyance as she poked Allen in the ribs.

Dyrus smirked and glanced to Haley. "How's that been working for you? This whole loving thing is still relatively new to me. " He observed aloud.

Ioan was almost asleep when Emily knocked at the door. When school ended the day before, he couldn't leave to go home. He felt an urge to stay here and prepare for the government officials that wold come the follosing day. He only slept an hour or two while working at his desk, but his mind had still been preoccupied with the responsibility of protecting the kids at the school. Ioan stood, straightening his suit as he moved to the door. He was extremely handsome, but his dishoveled brown hair and dark, sleep deprived eyes gave him unusual charm that added to his features. He smiled wearily as he greeted Emily at the door. "Hello."

Emily clasped her hands in front of her and tilted her chin up a bit to look him in the eye. "Good morning, Ioan," she said with a smile. Yesterday they'd all been in the throes of Dimitri's accident, so she hoped to clear things up today, starting with a little more formality. "If you aren't busy at the moment, I'd like to talk to you about a discussion I had with a couple students."

Iris looked around for Atalanta's voice, wondering where she was. When she located her after a couple of seconds, she approached her table and greeted with a friendly smile "Hey! How are you?" Noticing she was all by herself, she added "Where's Priam?"

Atalanta beckoned her to take a seat. "I'm better now that I've got company," she said with a smile. But it faded a bit at Iris' following question. "He filled two plates then headed out. Didn't even say where."

Leah looked into his eyes, finding comfort in the warmth of their look. She knew she was more innocent than most, and how William was most likely sacrificing his own pleasures and wants to be with her. She asked him quietly "Why do you want to be with me? I'm childish. There are women here who would sate all your desires much more than I ever could, right?"

William sighed and just shook his head. "I am quite happy with who I have chosen to spend my time with." He told her simply as he hugged her in contentedness. Her innocence's was what he liked best about her.

Leah hugged him tightly, returning to what he had said earlier, whispering softly "Thank you for protecting me my dragon." She moved her hands up to his neck so she could hold him close, then leaned in to kiss it once softly.

Nick swallowed and took a sip of soda. "You are going to turn me into a self-conscious eater," he chuckled. He slid the tip of his knife into a grape and held it out to her. "Please, eat something so I don't feel like an entertainment act."

"Cookies are always a good idea," Zaine said, dipping his head slightly. He stepped back once more to leave, but Alexis skirted around him and called out as she left, "Be right back! Don't leave!"
Zaine cleared his throat to object but the look she gave over her shoulder made him slightly afraid to disobey.
To break the awkwardness, he said the first thing that came to mind. "It was nice of you to let her stay."

Ellie looked to the grape with a smile as she took it off the knife and ate it. "You know one grape isn't going to last very long. If you'd rather I could always be on my merry way?" She suggested as she turned in her seat to leave.

Lyra looked up at him then and nodded. "Yeah she isn't too bad I actually really like her. We made a fort even, however between that and the snacks my room was a mess this morning." She said with a light laugh as she looked around a bit. "Um would you like to come in while were waiting for her?" She offered with a smile.

Iris smiled back, her smile growing into a look of confusion, before stating "Well, at east I'm here now. Have you already eaten some or have you waited?"

"No," Allen said sternly, "it's above your height." His face broke into an easy smile as he stepped back from her jabbing finger. "I was making my point, not measuring for a carnival ride, Missy." He turned to continue back to the mansion. Grinning to himself, he added, "But if I was, you'd be too short to ride anything good."

Haley popped him lightly on the shoulder. "Dangit, Dyrus, you always manage to turn my statements back on me," she chided teasingly. She grabbed his hand then pulled him after her along the beach. "I've got enough love for myself to spare a tad for you, and we'll figure the rest out together," she said, smirking at him over her shoulder.

"Late night escapades, to the kitchen?" Zaine raised an eyebrow as he smiled softly. "She'll have you up at all hours, if Dimitri's absences say anything." He glanced back to see if Alexis was back yet. Little did he know, 'I'll be right back' meant, I'll return after I tidy my room and get ready for the day, which may include a hot shower. "Um. Sure, thanks," he said as he entered. Whatever mess the girls had made, there was no evidence of it now in the practically immaculate room.
