Child At Heart, Monster By Nature (A Shape Shifting RP)

"Oh." Haley frowned. That idea had occurred to her earlier, but it seemed an odd thing for the children of the man behind it all to be running away. But maybe it made sense. They, obviously, hadn't been unaffected by the labs. "But why now? And why bring me, of all the people there?" She asked curiously.

"I'll explain everything as soon as we're safe." Aneurin said, his voice indicating danger. "Right now we need to get out of here before we face a fate worse than being locked up."

Laurel understood. In a way, she felt her relationship with Ryker was the same. Whether or not she accepted it he had taken her brokenness and made something new from it. She shyly turned away. "I understand." She shared quietly.

"I know you will, I trust completely in that." Ioan stated incouragingly.
~
(What does that mean :p )
Aralyn smiled at his compliment as she followed him with her duffle bag. "You're too kind."

"Good, then our chances of getting along just drastically improved. " Madison stated as she moved to open the door to the training facility.
~~~
Dimitri nodded and said, "Then I'll get back to this charade at normalness."
~~~
(It means, My God :) )
Leverett looked back at Arlyn to explain, "Mademoiselle, I didn't mean that as a compliment."

"All right," Haley said reluctantly.

Aneurin lead them both into the open to cross the large field ahead of them. It was empty of any people besides the three, but Aneurin lead them quickly to a forest that could conceal them, watching their surroundings closely as he knew that they would be discovered if they didn't move fast enough.

Laurel stood on her toes overlooking Madison's shoulder to see into the training room.

"As should I." Ioan grumbled sarcastically as he was reminded of all the work he needed to finish before the day ended.

Aralyn proudly avoided his gaze momentarily. "You may control what you say, but you cannot control the way people respond to your words." She then looked to him and snickered. "To me, your words were understood as a compliment."

Haley kept her eyes and ears open. As they entered the forest, though, her attention strayed slightly to the tall trees and brush. The scent of the leaves and wood filled her nostrils and she breathed it in happily.
