Alex, grinning broadly, put her hand out for a fistbump. "Mission Tame the Tiger is underway," she laughed.
"All right," Haley said reluctantly.
Laurel understood. In a way, she felt her relationship with Ryker was the same. Whether or not she accepted it he had taken her brokenness and made something new from it. She shyly turned away. "I understand." She shared quietly.

Leverett looked back at Arlyn to explain, "Mademoiselle, I didn't mean that as a compliment."
Alexis returned her hand to her side as she looked around the hallway. "I think that's where my next class is being held," she said, pointing straight ahead.
Haley kept her eyes and ears open. As they entered the forest, though, her attention strayed slightly to the tall trees and brush. The scent of the leaves and wood filled her nostrils and she breathed it in happily.
"Yes, I suppose I do have that advantage," Allen said calmly. "But, looks won't do you much good if your cellmate is dripping poison and angry," he chuckled.
