Child At Heart, Monster By Nature (A Shape Shifting RP)

( I answered this, but it's not here! Strange. :/ )

"That would totally be bad then." Andorra said with amusement. She glanced to Zaine and explained, "It's from an old movie." She shrugged and moved to sit back down at the table. Mainly, just to have something to do.

Dimitri was unsure if Andorra was mentally stable. But then after the day he'd had, the same could be said for him.
(it happens)

Zaine nodded, accepting of the rather blunt reply.

"Well," Alexis sighed loudly for affect and to break up the silence that was quickly settling in the room. "Looks like rain," she said out of the blue.

(Hey, this is Allen talking, not me. I actually prefer cats to dogs

)

"Typically when someone says 'cat', they're referring to those pesky spoiled hairball-spitting felines that own their people," Allen explained. "That's what I was referring to. Big cats, lions, tigers, the like, I'm a big fan of."
(I'm still offended that anyone in any world or any story would have a different opinion than me. I live in America, so I shouldn't have to deal with people freely expressing their beliefs in any form.)

"Ah. So you like the cats that kill babies, or where the females actually work harder than the males." Yhgiilra stated with a grin. "Male lions tend to kill cubs if they aren't theirs, and the females have to hunt for meat. So, food for thought." She looked to Allen with a chuckle.

(Get used to it XD)

"Uh yeah, pretty much," Allen agreed. "And you like cats that spit hair all over granny's antique bedspread, leave random strands of their hair in your cereal bowl, poop in your laundry room and scratch your favorite cushion. You think on that, I'll think on what you gave me." He smirked up at her, waiting for a reply that would surely be humorous and stupid.

"Well, if you get a hairless cat they won't have any hairballs, even humans get hair in their own food almost daily, usually going to the bathroom on random objects is actually the owner's fault, and you can get things to cover a cat's claws so they can't scratch things. Also, big cats kill people and everyone's constantly freaking out about them going extinct. So, I think so far I'm winning this argument." Yhgiilra crossed her arms with a smug smile/smirk on her face once she had finished.

"Whatever. Anyway, this conversation is rather irrelevant to life as it is right now, because I doubt Ryker will let us have pet cats, big or small in here." Allen said, chuckling softly.

Zaine nodded, accepting of the rather blunt reply.

"Well," Alexis sighed loudly for affect and to break up the silence that was quickly settling in the room. "Looks like rain," she said out of the blue.

"Clairvoyant?" Andorra asked curiously, as she looked around for a window.

Dimitri looked over to Alexis in question. "What does not have to do with anything? We're in a library and they don't let us out."

"What?" Alexis looked at them questioningly. "Oh. I was just breaking the silence. I don't know if it's going to rain, or even if it looks like rain," she explained.

Zaine, from where he was standing, was looking for a window as well. But as Alexis explained herself, he quickly stopped and turned his attention to the nearest book shelf.

"All good," Haley smiled. "She looked up ahead of them, then behind. Nothing and no one in sight. Oddly, that worried her. She had been gone from her cell for quite some time now; surely someone would have noticed by now.

"It won't be long," Amaryllis spoked in a suddenly hushed tone, "before Ryker comes looking for us."

" I fell to see you as a freak, Laurel. Only a young woman with a very elaborate coping mechanism. One that has allowed you to endure the most inhumane and inhospitable conditions. If your father and brother's cruelty has made you into anything, it's a survivor. Forget what hurt you, remember what you learned. " Madison stated with utmost sincerity. Laurel could never be a victim, she was way to strong to fit into that mold.
~~~
"First off, Mon Petit! You didn’t help me. Your clumsiness was most advantageous and I exploited it. That is all. As far as Ryker's anger, I needn't fear that, for I put the cargo in the trunk. Just as I know we're the drop off is. YOU, just sit there and look pretty. That's what you're good for. Eye candy, while I do the heavy lifting. " Leverett said with a flash of temper.
:)P )
Laurel remained quiet for a long while in contemplation before a genuine smile brightened her appearance. "Thank you, Madison. I am very grateful to you for spending the time to speak with me. You were right, it does help talking about it."
Aralyn's glare grew increasingly dangerous. "I'm an idiot for thinking that you were smart, but your ignorance has disproved that! It was act." She explained without patience. "The fall, when I cried, it was a tack tact I correctly chose to aid you in catching that man. If it had been me alone I could have caught him, but since you have failed to complete a mission successfully on your own, I used my beauty to aid you in proving your talent, but not taking over the mission completely so that Ryker's small amount of patience for you was not destroyed completely. I'm sorry that I ever helped you succeed, I much would have rather enjoyed watching you fail."
Dimitri nodded and smiled at that. "Not one for awkward silence, huh?" He teased mildly.
Andorra saw Zaine looking at the bookshelf. She got up and headed over. "So what books have you read of Token?" She asked conversationally.
