I was never short of it at home, but the few years at the labs I must say, I was very deprived. So if I ramble for anything, it's not to avert attention, it's more likely to gain. There ya go. Insider information. You're welcome, and I'll keep an eye out for my check." She kept her gaze, though she felt slightly uncomfortable with the turn in conversation.

Dimitri sighed softly and shook his head at that reveal. "Well, here I am, wanting to blend and not draw attention. While you seek it out activel. Could we possibly be more polar opposites?" He asked with mild humor.

Andorra smiled and nodded. She thought to herself, 'No! You didn’t just nod agreement to her own question. What an idiot!' She cleared your throat and asked, "So! What else strikes your fancy?"

Sebastian delicately cut off a piece of his lobster tail and took a bite. It was heaven in seafood form. "Ah but sir, my previous standing with you has to outweigh that minor incident. Alls well that ends well. Nobody important was hurt."

Ryker had taken his own bite and chewed with deliberation of Sebastian's statement. When he swallowed, he replied coolly, "I say again, don't mistake my fondness for you as weakness. Sebastian, you'll find my temperament is much like the sea that surrounds this Island. The moment you don't respect it, it'll turn on you in a heartbeat. So I would exercise a monochrome of caution with such bold statements about me." He lingered a stare for emphasis, before going back to his meal.

Andorra's seat was open so Alexis took it. "Now Mr. Zaine over there, he's a quiet one. Have fun getting to know him," she chuckled.

Zaine was oblivious to her nod. His mind was somewhere else at that moment. "Huh? Oh. Besides reading, nature. In general." He shrugged, trying to think of how to explain himself. "I used to just take long walks in the woods near my home. Not really exciting. What about you?"

"Hey, you know what they say. Opposites," Alexis paused, trying to recall the quote. "Never mind." She glanced around the room for Andorra and Zaine, who looks to be deep in conversation. Andorra's seat was open so Alexis took it. "Now Mr. Zaine over there, he's a quiet one. Have fun getting to know him," she chuckled.

" Fairy tales don't tell children that dragons exist. Children already know that dragons exist. Fairy tales tell children that dragons can be killed." I think of that every time I think of Ryker. I find comfort that even he shall fall." She concluded thoughtfully.

"Now if I can just get Ryker to say that about me. " Madison stated with a chuckle. "Perhaps you can mention it to him, it might expediate things."

Dimitri shook his head in negation. "I'm a blunt instrument. Peeling away layers requires a certain finesse which I do not possess. I'm simply glad to have a mutual agreement to not cause harm to eachother in the night." He said with a wink at the last part.

Andorra played with the spines of a few books on the shelf in front of her as he spoke. She shrugged, "That's me, I know random things of veritable significance." She then stole a glance his way.

Laurel barely heard when Madison spoke about her being Ryker's toy, but rather contemplated the idea of being his favorite. She secretly thought that that couldn't even be partially true, yet beamed at the thought. She had never be liked by anyone, let alone been a favorite in someone's opinion, not until now. She was beginning to learn she had more friends than she could have ever hoped for.
