Alex frowned down at the view, the majority of it being a colossal stone wall. The only thing worth seeing was the sorry excuse for a garden: two wooden boxes full of wilted flowers and weeds.
She turned from the window and went to the chest at the foot of the bed she had claimed. She began removing items from her backpack, mostly clothes but a few odds and ends, and placing them neatly in the drawers, thinking all the while about this strange transition.

"Your maddening. I know I'm not the first you've done this to, neither will I be the last. But know that one day you shall be punished for your evil acts and no one will have mercy on." Laurel whispered threateningly, blinking rapidly as the lights momentarily blinded her.

Kenya came to the door with the same number that had been printed in the introductory letter. Sighing, she gently knocked on the door, stepping back as she waited to meet her roomate.
