Alexis jumped up, having startled slightly. She tucked a strand of hair that had been dangling inconveniently in her face behind her ear as she made her way over to the door. She first put her eye to the eyehole to see who it was, but without luck, as all she saw was a wavy dark figure in the dark hall.
Alex then swung the door open to see a young woman before her. "Can I help you?" She asked, raising a questioning eyebrow.

Kenya stepped forward and reached her out in greeting. She awkwardly awaited for the girl to shake her hand. "I'm Kenya, your roommate. Who are you?" She asked to brake the silence.
