Haley felt for the girl. They had all lost something but surely this loss was magnified. She wrapped an arm comfortingly around Amaryllis as they walked, hoping that without saying anything she could convey that they were in this together; that neither of them were alone no matter how much Ryker instilled that fear in them.

Sophia replied, with her quiet morning voice, "Good morning. Did you sleep well? Sorry I fell asleep here." She sat against the pillows next to him.

"You better not speak of this to anyone or we'll be back with a more permanent solution to the problem you pose. Do we have an understanding? " Dyrus said as he snapped his teeth inches from his face.
Vasper set the mug back in the man's hold and headed to pick up the scent trail from there. Yep, sure enough, it headed away from the cabin. He whistled to the hidden teams in the bushes. They stepped out to follow Vasper onwards.

"Yes, yes of course!" The hunter hurriedly replied as he wrapped his hands around the now cold cup of coffee.

Dyrus calmly straightened and relaxed his hold and smoothed out his shirt. "Good! Have a nice day." He said before bounding over the railing and joining the team as the moved out.

"On me?" Alexis feigned surprise. "Well, I could do this all day!" She squealed excitedly, but then her cheerfulness turned into a pout. "Oh, me. Fine, I'll prove it to you. But since 24/7 isn't exactly convenient, how about an hour?" She offered to settle the argument.
