Child At Heart, Monster By Nature (A Shape Shifting RP)

Razeth sighed as the door was shut and locked. He hoped Laurel would be alright. He settled fully upon the bed to try and get some sleep.
~~~
Madison chuckled softly and watched Laurel closely. "You're good for eachother. It's easier to endure hardships if you have somebody to care about." She said simply.
Laurel quickly looked to meet Madison's gaze. "What do you know about me?" She asked in a low voice. She was afraid that she already understood without having received an answer. Ryker had told Madison of her past. He had no right. That information belonged to her alone, and was not meant to be shared. The truth of her past had already brought her enough shame by sharing it with Ryker and Razeth, and that had been her own choice to tell them.
Dimitri looked to their joined hands in wonderment, before he returned the gentle greeting. He smiled hesitantly and reached over to draw Ioan in for a strong hug. "Thanks for giving me hope. I was certain this meetings outcome was a black one." He murmured to him.
Ioan accepted the hug with much eagerness. He had become lonely from the many hours he'd spent locked away in his office, endlessly searching for a way to keep the kids safe in order to quiet his fears. "Thank you, as well, for returning the hope I had put away long ago."
"I know nothing of you. I speak of Razeth. He has fought Ryker for a very long time. He seems much improved in his outlook of his future. I say this, because he didn't attack me with the intention of ripping out my throat. " Madison stated matter-of-factly.
Dimitri sighed softly and stepped back and squeezed Ioan's shoulder. "Hang in there. You're our only hope. Without you we all die of lead poisoning." He said with dry humor.
Alex fingered the folded piece of paper in her pocket before tucking it back in further. She decided to plant it a different day. Getting called to the office twice in the first 24 hours of residence was enough, even for Dimitri, and, plus, it would give her something to look forward to.
Zaine let out a sigh of relief as the teacher finished up on his overly long explanation of someone whose name Zaine could hardly pronounce. He shoved his book into the backpack and dropped the semi-chewed up pencil after it.
Leverett frowned as two of Ryker’s men came and collected Helen. As he came over to inquire as to what was going on, another stopped him short. The large man looked to him with cold eyes and informed him, "There has been a change in plans. You are being partnered with another. They'll be here shortly. The mission remains the same, just the components have changed. "
"But why? What did we do wrong? " Leverett asked quietly.
"Her loyalties were in question. Ryker needs this mission to succeed, at all costs. Understand? " The large man asked with a menacing tone.
Leverett averted his eyes and nodded obediently. "Yes, I understand fully and I will not disappoint him. My new partner, what is their name?" He asked with concern.
"Aralyn" He said darkly.
Leverett looked up at the man with wide eyes. "Oh?" He squeaked out.
( This is the lead in to swap out Helen for your Aralyn. ;) )
Andorra hurried out of the classroom when the bell rang out. Glad to be on the move again. She looked over the gathering crowd for a familiar face.
While the teacher was giving out an assignment, Zaine grabbed his backpack and headed out, having made up his mind that that man wasn't worth his time. He stayed near the walls as he walked leisurely down the hall. Running into someone again wasn't on his to do list.
-------
Alexis stayed just long enough to scribble down the assignment in her notebook, then took off as well, in the opposite direction.
