Child At Heart, Monster By Nature (A Shape Shifting RP)

"Oh good! I'm glad we got that all cleared up. I wouldn't want any misunderstandings." Dimitri replied good-naturedly.

Andorra smiled again and moved to go to the other side of the book stack to hide the further deepening of her full fledged blush. " You're very wise, Mr Owl. Just as being around you is a hoot!" She said through the gap in the books.
"That wouldn't be good, now would it," Alexis chuckled. Hearing Andorra squeal, or hoot, something like that, she leaned a bit off her chair and called, "Everything okay over there?"

Zaine chuckled at Andorra's comment. "Whatcha reading?" He asked, cocking his head slightly to read the title of the book.

Madison glanced to the others as they continued to train. She could still feel the soreness in her side and head from her earlier sparring match with Charles. Her pain grounded her and made her feel alive.
~~~
"Mon Dieu, my petite. Are you not a fan of the classics? Perhaps if I sing the words, you may appreciate it more, no?" Leverett said with unabashed levity at having evoked such a response from Aralyn.
(*Insert awkward silence*)
Laurel watched them train as well, her attention drifting as she became bored.
~
"I'd enjoy it as much as a punch in the face." She threatened, unsure whether she could restrain herself from punching him if continued to annoy her.
Haley nodded when she finished. "I don't mean to pry, and if my questions make you uncomfortable, you don't have to answer," she said thoughtfully. "How is it that you were there? At the lab?"
"No, I'm glad to share. You've been a good friend to me, the only one to whom I trust my secrets with." Amaryllis smiled kindly towards Haley. "After my mother died I was sent to live with Ryker and my half-brother. It was the closest family that I had, without knowing who my real father was."
Haley smiled at her, pleased to be a confidant. She listened intently as Amaryllis talked, then waited a moment before carefully replying. "How old were you and Aneurin when Ryker," she paused, cleared her throat, then continued, glancing at Amaryllis as she talked to make sure she didn't seem upset, "when Ryker began his work?"
Dimitri glanced up at Andorra's hoot, but didn't think too much about it. He returned his gaze to Alexis and leaned back in his chair. He drummed his fingers on the table top in search of something to talk about. :)idunno Drawing a blank here. :/ )
~~~
( Lol, she's supposed to be on the other side of the book stack / book shelf and looking through the shelf at him. ;) )

"Why Astrophysics of course." Andorra said with amusement, as she snapped it shut and slipped it back into the vacant space. "Maybe we could hack a computer and order some decent books off the internet." She brainstormed aloud.

( *Sighs* I hate awkward silences.

Lol!)

Soon, the trainers dismissed combat training. Madison smiled and stood up, "Alright, let's get you back to your cell. Have your meds kicked in yet?" She asked curiously.
~~~
"Oh? Well if you can wait until we get to the drop off point, I'd be more then happy to oblige you. I didn't know you liked physical pain so much, but to each their own. " Leverett said pleasantly, purposely misunderstanding what she'd meant by her statement.
(Oh I'm full of ideas ;) )
"Guess she didn't hear me," Alexis muttered. She adjusted in her chair, and, sighing softly, placed her hands neatly on top of each other on the table. "So. What's your favorite color?" She asked, a very serious look upon her face.
------------
(Haha uh. Well if she can see him, he can see her, so he could also see the book. Kind of. :idunno :lol: )
Zaine nodded, a slightly confused look in his face. "Hack a computer? What if we got caught?" He asked, concerned with the idea that she probably wasn't even serious about.
Sebastian delicately cut off a piece of his lobster tail and took a bite. It was heaven in seafood form. "Ah but sir, my previous standing with you has to outweigh that minor incident. Alls well that ends well. Nobody important was hurt."
Ryker had taken his own bite and chewed with deliberation of Sebastian's statement. When he swallowed, he replied coolly, "I say again, don't mistake my fondness for you as weakness. Sebastian, you'll find my temperament is much like the sea that surrounds this Island. The moment you don't respect it, it'll turn on you in a heartbeat. So I would exercise a monochrome of caution with such bold statements about me." He lingered a stare for emphasis, before going back to his meal.
Sebastian knew that his personal ties with Ryker meant nothing. The only real use he served at this point was as an intellect and comedy relief. "Of course not, sir. I don't underestimate you, I overestimate myself. It's a bit of a bad habit." Of course he didn't mean anything he said. He knew his limits very well, having tested them on countless occasions. "Well..if you see my sister before I do, make sure to give her a WAVE." It was a pretty terrible pun, even for his standards, but one can't compare themselves to an ocean without at least one 'wave' joke.
"Conversation," Allen moved his hand horizontally through the air, Then made a sharp dip, "downhill." He cleared his throat before answering the rather morbid question. "Killing someone, of course. Whether they deserve it or not is not my problem. If their death is Ryker's wish, then I will see it carried out. And yes, I'm aware that wasn't exactly the answer to your question. I'd rather die fighting than by rotting."
(Silkiiiiiiiiieeeee)
"Me too, probably." Yhgiilra said. "I mean, if my only job is to kill people, might as well do it. And look awesome because of my tail." She chuckled lightly. "Anyway, sorry for the depressing topic, but you wanted something relevant to life, so I'm going to go ahead and say it's your fault."
