Child At Heart, Monster By Nature (A Shape Shifting RP)

Vasper quietly tracked Amaryllis's rich and lovely scent through the alleyways and streets. So focused on his task, he almost hadn't noticed the frail girl spinning in circles until it was almost too late. He'd stopped right off from her and stood there watching her curiously. After a time,  he ventured to ask in a gruff voice, "What exactly are you doing? "

Amaryllis came to a sudden stop and stood face to face with Vasper. "I'm. I'm lost." She explained, a little shaken by the unexpected presence. "Who are you?" She asked, becoming more fearfully as she overlooked the man's appearance. It was obvious he didn't belong in this city.

Donella took the pan to the closest table, setting it on a trivet then grabbing plates and taking a seat so they could eat together "Great, let's eat then" She said, already working on putting her sandwich together.
Zaine grabbed the correct amount of utensils and brought them over to the table. "This looks and smells amazing," he complimented the girls.
"I concur! Teamwork is pretty awesome, just like all of us!" Andorra replied grandly as she sat down to partake of the food. She grabbed a bun from the bag and started constructing her masterpiece. A sloppy joe loaded with macaroni and cheese on top. "Perfection in a bun! " She whispered as she wrangled into her hands and waited for everyone to start eating.

Vasper smiled broadly and leaned in ever-so-slightly to whisper to her, "I'm the villain in this story, sweetheart. And if you don't want innocent bystanders to get killed, don't cause a scene and come with us nicely. " He then took ahold of her upper arm and directed her back to the alleyway it just come from.

  )

Haley found a back staircase that led to the roof of one of the buildings she had sited. She ran ahead a few yards to check the distance between buildings, adding up everything in her head. She figured that by now they were well on her trail, a few minutes away at most, but she still had a little time to kill. Soon after leaving Amaryllis, she had pinpointed the animal like scent from earlier: Ryker hadn't sent dogs after them, or normal men, but some of his modified beings. Of course it made sense when she thought about it. Ryker wanted to make sure there were no mistakes, so he had sent his best trackers.

Dyrus came to the fire escape that Haley had bypassed. He paused and looked up at the roof. He then looked back to the trail ahead. What was she up to? He mused silently. He then glanced to Jarvis and sighed at the annoyance upon his face. He growled angrily before before saying, " Did it escape your minds that you might just have to work on this little gig? How about one of you get up there and see if you can get a bead on her. She's up to something and I want to know what. I'll continue to run point."

(Better? :) )

(Yep!)

Haley watched the group from across the street, waiting for them to move from the staircase. If they didn't, she had found another staircase of a building that could work. She counted the men carefully but stopped short when a thought came to her. A very logical and likely thought, that the group had split like she and Amaryllis. If so, had Amaryllis been captured already? she thought worriedly.

Amaryllis remained quiet as she was taken into the alley, blue eyes wide with fear of Vasper . "Let me go!" She begged, tugging herself away from Vasper; falling on her butt when her arm was finally released. Unable to get up quickly enough, she began to crawl backwards, away from the man.

Donella smiled, pleased at the praise "Thank you" She said before getting a portion of the mac and cheese, though hers was a side not on the bun. She started eating hers happily, glad for the meal.
