Child At Heart, Monster By Nature (A Shape Shifting RP)

The medic shook his head as he knelt down beside where they'd put Amaryllis in the van. "I have morphine. Do you want to sleep?" He asked quietly. He didn't see the need for her to suffer needlessly. The others climbed in and they were on their way. Vasper looking to them on the floor from over the back of the seat.

Tears silently flowed down Amaryllis' face, the pain nearly unable for her, and yet all she could think about, fear about, was whether or not they found Haley. "I.. I..." She weakly stammered, unsure how to answer. The idea was tempting, but how could she tell the man what she really felt? She couldn't. Amaryllis tossed her head wildly as she looked from her place on the floor of the van to see if they had brought Haley with them. She didn't want to be taken, but her desire even greater than this was that they wouldn't find Haley. And, that, somehow she could escape eternal prisonment.

Nova tossed the keys to another so the car could be put up before taking his arm and walking inside with him. She wasn't rough with him, since she did like him, but she wasn't just going to let him go either. She looked to him as she opened the door so they could go in "Why did you leave?" The question had been on her mind since Ryker came to get her.

(guys, I don't know what this place has or what to do with him.)
(RW, this was for you)

Alastor glanced over to Laurel with admiration of her thirst for knowledge and said, " The betterment of oneself is never time wasted. That was something my father used to say when I was just a mere child. I have always found it to be sound advice. Good luck on your lessons, Laurel."

Leverett smiled proudly to Laurel and gave a respectful nod to her.

"Thank you," Laurel looked at both men, wondering why her eagerness to learn gained such great attention; her education had never been of any importance before.

(Thanks!)
Anuerin turned his attention to Nova before looking ahead again. "I was taking my sister far from this place." He answered simply.
Nova looked to him again as she brought them inside. She frowned a little and looked away and to the building. "Why?" She asked curiously as she debated then headed for a room to put him in until his father got back. She had been there since she was little, so she didn't know any other way of life than this and felt it was normal.

( )

"Okayyy," Zaine shrugged. He didn't understand this cat, and he wasn't sure he ever would, so he tried to just shrug off the joke that he didn't get. "Well, i think I'll start putting stuff away," he said quietly as he backed away from the sink.

Andorra looked to Donella and rolled her eyes. She couldn't help she liked messing with Zaine. She saw a lot of her little brother in him. She frowned slightly at the arrent thought. Somethings were best left in the past. Like the reasons she could no longer sing. "Yeah, we should probably finish up and head out before we get caught. " She said softly as she moved to grab a towel to help dry and put away the dishes.

Haley stopped near the voices, but out of sight. There were several; it sounded like a group of men. It smelled like the lab. She still couldn't see Amaryllis so she hurried to the other side of the building to see if she could see her from this angle.

Dyrus slowed as the scent of blood was on the air. Amaryllis's to be exact. He stopped and looked ahead in time to see the other units van pull away. "Ok, Vasper's group is heading for the rendezvous point. Now we need to finish catching ours." He informed before picking up on Haley's trail again.

"I'm sorry you had to endure this. I'd hoped he wouldn't treat you like the others. I'm not to sure how Ryker's going to take this." The medic confided in Amaryllis before a hand smacked the back of his head. "He didn't say I couldn't! Like I said before, the permission is in the omission!"

After Alastor finished fitting the sling straps on Leverett, he moved to the medicine cabinet to get a couple pain pills and a small paper cup of water. "Ok, down the hatch and off to bed for you. At least for now, it'll give the medicine time to work in your system before your adrenaline wears off. If you don't take it easy, you're going to feel true discomfort. Trust me, you don't want to push this Leverett. You're lucky she didn't flat out break your arm." Alastor surmised helpfully.

Leverett clenched his jaws at the mention of Aralyn. "Duly noted, doctor. I'll count myself one of the lucky ones. "He said bitterness evident in his tone, as he carefully stood up. "Laurel, it was a pleasure meeting you and hope to see you around." He said pleasantly as he stopped in front of her and offered her his hand of his good arm in parting.
