Child At Heart, Monster By Nature (A Shape Shifting RP)

So that's how it was going to be. Lucy frowned as she watched the transformation, then her frown only deepened as the cat went under the bed. "I wasn't being rude to your friend," she finally said to Donella. "She asked what I wanted and I explained. If anything, she ought to be apologizing for thinking she can just choose as she wants which room to stay in."
"I asked her to stay because her room mate was hurtful to her and she is my only friend. I want her here so she can feel safe because she helps me feel safe." Donella said, going over to her bed to sit beside it. "Hey, are we sleeping under there or on the bed? I don't mind either way, really."

Dimitri snorted at that. "Not so fair or square. But you did set the bar at using a distraction to get past me, I just wanted to show you how it felt. " He said with a chuckle. "Besides, I like that game and we'll revisit it soon. But for now, I must do homework. Care to join me in the library?" He asked curiously.

"Gideon isn't the only one with technical aptitude. I made sure certain cameras were stuck in a loop and the staff was otherwise engaged elsewhere. I didn't take anything that was missed. This sofa is from storage anyway. So is the throw rug and coffee table. The lamps were pilfered from around the main floor. " Ashton explained quietly.

Alastor answered urgently, "Hello Ryker, how bad is he?" He looked to Layla as he listened.

Ryker looked to Nova as she joined them. He smiled warmly as they pushed the gurney through the gardens on the cobblestones. He was partly glad Leverett wasn't awake at this point, it was a jarring ride. But soon they'd be on smooth floors.
"I'd be delighted to," Alexis agreed readily. She reset the point bar for the next person then went around the table to meet him.

"You had me concerned until you mentioned the lamps," Allen said with a mischievous smile. "There's no fun in only safe pilfering."

"Ryker's got the gurney; this is Haley," Haley explained briefly. "Leveratt's alive, but unconscious and in critical shape. We're headed your way now."

Lucy nodded slowly as she listened. "Fine then. I don't care if she stays, so long as she doesn't eat me in my sleep," she said seriously. Her frown lightened a little as she bent down to peer at the cheetah.

Donella glanced to her and gave her a small smile now that she had calmed down. "We don't eat people, even the rude ones."

Eliana glared at them but willingly got up and followed them to her cell. She was cooperating now, or at least working on it.

Layla looked around unsure if she should stay or go. Finally she made her mind up and turned to Alastor as she got up from her chair. "I think I will stay until he gets here, make sure hes ok. I can help clean things up or get things ready if you need help." She said to him hoping to at least make herself useful and busy her mind until he got there so she wouldn't bolt.
"I would greatly appreciate that. Thank you for offering your help...." Alastor stated as his phone rang. He answered urgently, "Hello Ryker, how bad is he?" He looked to Layla as he listened to Haley explain the situation. "Alright, we'll be ready and waiting for your arrival. I'm heading to Ryker's lab now." He explained as he motioned for Layla to follow him, still on the phone with Haley.

Andorra looked to Donella as she got down on the floor. She felt pride in Donella for how she stood up for her. Donella had spunk when she needed it. The tiny Kodkod wasn't a pushover in the least. But she wasn't really ready to come out yet.

Andorra chirped at that, a cheetah's version of a laugh. She then moved to crawl out a bit to look to Lucy. She then huffed softly in agreement before shifting to her human form. "Sorry for being cross with you. As Donella stated, it hasn't been a good night. I shouldn't have taken it out on you." She said quietly.

"Good! I was hoping you'd say that." Dimitri replied pleased. He shyly held his hand out to her, hoping that she'd take it.

Ashton frowned in thought then burst into giggles as the meaning struck her. "Oh Allen, your encourageable. Really you are!" She teased through the giggles.

Vasper leaned back to look Amaryllis in the eyes and bit confused. "Leave you, I just found you. Why would I leave you?" He asked gently.

"Hey, I didn't say she couldn't. It just happily ever after's don't depict the whole story. Some, including me, that the end of a fairytale is only the beginning. The princess marrying the prince is easy, putting up with said prince is entirely another. What if his snoring keep her up and he has hair all down his back? You don't see that in those stories, do ya?! " Razeth said with humor as he looked to Laurel expectantly for an answer.
"I was asking that you don't leave me when I sleep." She assured him gently.

"Happily ever after means exactly what it implies." Laurel sassed teasingly as she opened the book to the first page.

Vasper smiled sadly and admitted, " I don't want to get you in trouble with Haley. She doesn't seem to like me and rightly so.she didn't appreciate our previous sleeping arrangements. I shudder to think what she'd do when she finds me in your room."

"Oh? Is that right? Well enlighten me with a good, non-biased, perfectly probable storytelling of total predictability." Razeth said jokingly as he settled in for the story she would read aloud.

"Well that's a relief," Lucy said, sighing dramatically. She dumped her books on her bed before seating herself beside the mess. Looking to Andorra, she said, "Thanks. And I'm sorry you've had a bad night."
