Child At Heart, Monster By Nature (A Shape Shifting RP)

The tap tapping of her heels echoed through the empty room as Emily stood to go, taking her empty coffee cup and a stapled stack of papers with her. They needed a signature and she needed to go eat something.
Elbowing the door handle open, she pressed her back against the door and opened it, then set off at a brisk pace for Ioan's office. She didn't encounter anyone on her way, for which she was slightly relieved. All the students were either still in the cafeteria or in their first class of the day.
She had only arrived at the school late last night, her flight having been delayed by stormy weather, but she was here and happy to be. The relief she'd felt when she received this job offer was enormous. Life at her old place was becoming unbearable, full of disappointing memories and only the sound of herself to fill the apartment, and moving away was the very best thing that she could have done. Here, it certainly wouldn't be quiet or lonely.
She knocked lightly on Ioan's office door then stepped back to glance down the hall curiously. Perhaps she could find a student willing to give her a tour of the place later.

William looked down at Leah in surprise, he was surprised she felt comfortable enough to just spill her past like that to him. It made since though given her past how she was so nervous. He would have to make a mental note to try and tone it down a bit around her in the future. "I am sorry that is a horrible life to live, at least your here now. And thank you I like to think I am pretty nice myself, but then again I am a little biased." He replied with a grin and a wink. He then noticed as the wind blew her hair a little bit that she had ears, like honest to goodness animals ears. "Hey are those animals ears I see under there, that is pretty neat you shouldn't hide them." He replied restraining himself from the desire to reach out and brush her hair out of the way so he could see them better.
Leah walked alongside him, giggling softly at his wink. She responded "You do seem pretty nice, please don't tell anyone about my past. You're the only person I've told and I don't know why. You just seemed trustworthy." Diverting her attention to her ears, she blushed and responded, "Yes, they're Arctic fox ears. You like them?"

Samantha eyed him curiously for just a moment. Staring made people uncomfortable, which was really a pity because it was a favored activity. "So you're Ryker's little errand boy?" She asked jokingly. She sniffed slightly the air around them. Purely human, besides her own scent.

Liam chuckled and nodded, he had been called that so many times now he wasn't bothered by it anymore. "You could say that I suppose, but don't let the others hear you I have a reputation to uphold." He replied equally as jokingly. "So what are you up to at this fine hour of the morning?"

Vasper nodded and stated pleasantly, "I'm a basic Italian dressing guy myself. " He then nibbled on a few bites of his omelet.

Razeth felt good at her compliment. "Then thank you." He said with appreciation.
Amaryllis set her fork down to look at Vasper. "I didn't realize you eat salads." She admitted curiously.

"You're welcome." Laurel replied with a warm smile as she moved closer to Razeth.

William beamed at her when she giggled, he was so happy he could make her more comfortable. He made a motion of crossing his heart, "Of course your secret is safe with me. And thanks for trusting me, feels good most people think I am just a goof off trouble maker. And yeah ears are pretty neat, I don't have anything like that. The only think I have all the time from my change is poor hearing." He said with a sigh and a quiet laugh. He then looked at her curiously before adding quietly. "You wanna see something pretty cool though?" He asked her as he stopped to look at her.

"I was headed to my room to grab something before hitting the gym," Samantha explained, gesturing towards her door a few down.
