Child At Heart, Monster By Nature (A Shape Shifting RP)

(You do know Ryker is asleep, right? The whole Leverett thing ring a bell? :hmm The poor guy just can't ever rest. Lol! )
" Alright, good luck. I hope everything works out great Amaryllis. " Vasper stated with sincerity as he watched her go.

Razeth soon followed Laurel in slumber.
(I was assuming that it had been awhile since he went to sleep, and that he might be awake by now. But now that I think about he's only been asleep for a few hours. She could show up at his office and realize he's not there. Maybe she could come across Eirik in the halls, that could buy some time?)
"Thank you." Amaryllis replied, beaming at his kind words. She left the room with a sense of confidence gained in Vasper's encouragement and walked down the halls to wait for the elevator.

The tap tapping of her heels echoed through the empty room as Emily stood to go, taking her empty coffee cup and a stapled stack of papers with her. They needed a signature and she needed to go eat something.
Elbowing the door handle open, she pressed her back against the door and opened it, then set off at a brisk pace for Ioan's office. She didn't encounter anyone on her way, for which she was slightly relieved. All the students were either still in the cafeteria or in their first class of the day.
She had only arrived at the school late last night, her flight having been delayed by stormy weather, but she was here and happy to be. The relief she'd felt when she received this job offer was enormous. Life at her old place was becoming unbearable, full of disappointing memories and only the sound of herself to fill the apartment, and moving away was the very best thing that she could have done. Here, it certainly wouldn't be quiet or lonely.
She knocked lightly on Ioan's office door then stepped back to glance down the hall curiously. Perhaps she could find a student willing to give her a tour of the place later.

Emily knocked once more, then put her ear to the door. "Ioan?" She gave him a minute to answer before giving up. She'd been given her own office's key last night along with her room's, so she decided to just leave the papers there and go get breakfast.

A large variety of food smells and people chatting rushed at her as she entered the cafeteria, taking her back to her own school days for a moment. This was definitely the right choice, coming here, and she was especially glad she was going to reside on campus. Ioan had given her plenty of warnings about the job and what it involved, but she was sure she could handle it. After all, this couldn't be too much different than her last school job a couple years ago.
She stepped up to the end of the shortening food line and looked around curiously.

Asa looked over momentarily to Zoe and Elliot, his gaze becoming more of a glare as he glanced back to the window.
Elliot set his hand down on the armrest, peering outside the window as they slowly rolled down the runway. He picked up a newspaper, reading the cover which read "Twenty Dead in Terror Attack in France." He started reading the article.

William smiled at her as he looked down at his hand, he had always been fascinated by this ability. As his scales folded back into smooth human skin a moment later as he shifted it back he looked up at her curiously. "Thanks, it was super painful at first, still feels a bit I dunno tingly? And my skin is super sensitive afterwards for a bit, but it is still super cool. When I have my scales I can deflect blades and claws, not bullets sadly, but its still neat. I, uh, haven't shown many people that talent." He said honestly with, for him, a rare almost shy smile. But he brushed it off quickly as he cleared his throat and went back to his joking self. "But ears are way cooler then my skin." He said as he continued on down the path.
Leah smiled at him, replying "Thank you for showing me your power. I just have claws to use, but those aren't nearly as...what does cool mean?" She noticed how much he had used the word, and blushed at how ignorant she was. She added embarrassingly "Excuse my English ignorance."

Ah so that was where her name came from, it made sense he thought. "It is always good to know your people. I was trying to place your name, Native American makes sense. Does it have a meaning?" Elijah asked curiously, after his discussion earlier in the morning about names and their secret meanings with Willow and Adrian he found himself intrigued.
Aquene nodded, replying "It means Peace." She contemplated out loud "I'm not sure if I'm peaceful or not. Sometimes I am, other times I'm nothing but." She joked "My parents predicted wrong."

"Iris!" Priam called out. He pulled Atalanta's wet self closer towards him. "Let's hope she didn't get too far; I don't fancy wandering the beach when I could be cleaning up and eating," he said with a chuckle.

Lucy frowned slightly but caught herself and put up a smirk. "Well I'm glad you think I'm agreeable and cute," she said, inclining her head slightly towards him.
Iris heard Priam call out for her, and shouted back "I'm on the beach. Are we still playing because if we are I'm running away again." She tensed, just in case the answer was yes and she had to bolt in the other direction.

Victor chuckled, following it with a smile. He responded, taking note of her frown a few seconds earlier, "I was joking about the whole serial killer thing. Hope you didn't take it personally."
