Child At Heart, Monster By Nature (A Shape Shifting RP)

Zoe huffed softly at that then shook her head "You are very clear, sir. It was just a clash of personalities that has already been resolved as well. We are both ready and willing to finish this mission. A few more details would be appreciated so we don't make a mistake when we go in though. Any details." She was not happy about being kept in the dark like this.
"I do not discuss such details over the phone. Asa will impart that info when needed. Have no illusions Zoe, the government is listening in. As far as the details being cloudy, I've set it up on a need-to-know basis for a reason. You can't sell the information for sanctuary, if you don't have it all. And if you even think for running, just remember that I found him and he had the government's help. How long do you think it would take me to find you both. Do not fail me, you must work together on this. Now give the phone back to Asa." Ryker stated with absolute finality.

Layla looked into the fridge to see what there was, she grabbed hers a root beer and when he said surprise him she laughed darkly looking for the grossest thing she could think of to drink. She decided against that though and just grabbed an extra root beer and headed out to where he was. "Hope you like root beer." She said with a small grin as she held out a bottle to him.

(I moved Adrian to a seperate post since we also have Silkie and Starr in the post now. )

Saskia did her best evil laugh, but devolved into real laughter at how ridiculous it sounded. "Your probably right about gaga. Oh! I should see if I can dig up a backstreet boys poster. Now I just need to source them, I should really keep these things on hand somewhere for when the mood strikes me." she said with a grin at Madison. "Ugh I am going to have to come back to make these changes. Find anything good? Secret Diary covered in flowers?" She asked as she looked curiously into the drawer she was searching.

Eliana looked at Alastor and felt bad, this really was his cell. She too looked down in her mug as a thought came to her, she looked up at Alastor hopefully. "Alastor, Ryker and you probably keep records, files on everyone who comes through here right? Do you think, what I mean is, do you think you could look in mine, tell me where I came from? I, I don't remember anything, not really, from before. I know my name, well I think it was what my name was, and I know that I liked tea, simple things but I don't remember anything else. I just want to know, what, if I am missing something." She said quietly, she didn't know if he could help her but she was hoping he could. It wouldn't change a whole lot, she knew that. But she just felt this hole and wanted to know what used to fill it.
Vasper looked to Layla as she came over with the bottles. "I do like root beer." He said as he sat at the kitchen table. He pushed out the chair catty-corner from him with his foot for her. He took a bags of pork rinds and opened it.

Madison paused in her searching to look to Saskia with a confused expression. " A secret diary covered with flowers? Is there something you're trying to tell me? That's awful specific. " She said as she made a mental note to search Saskia's room for such a secret diary. She then shook her head in negation. "Nope, nothing." ( in here but hairspray. Good grief, how much does one male need? Two...no three cans of it. :lau )

Alastor set down his mug and rubbed his hands along his thighs as he debated the consequences of what would happen if Ryker found out. Almost before he consciously decided he stood up to go to the filing cabinet. After a brief search, he pulled out her file. He looked out into the hallway through the glass before returning to Eliana. "I didn't give you this. I was careless and left it out on the table where you saw it when I left the room. Understand?" He asked, as he slid the file over to her.

"As if I would even think of running?" Zoe stated angrily then shook her head and turned, going back over to Asa to hand him the phone

Michael watched her then looked to Dimitri and back "You should stay out of biting range."
Alexis jumped up then and stepped carefully around Dimitri, weaving her way through a maze of massive paws. She seated herself at his back and laid down, resting her head on her own paws as she fixed her gaze on the doctor while he worked.

Michael watched her then turned back to his work, looking at one slide then at another in his search for what this virus was and how to combat it.

Asa scoffed at Zoe's uncontrolled anger with Ryker, he wouldn't test Ryker's patience like that if he were her. He took the phone with a disproving sigh. "Ryker?"

(I am feeling inspired today! Lets get this party started with four character posts :jumpy)
"Of course." Cyra answered with ease, an ease that didn't reassure Ioan like she had hoped. "What were you doing today between 2 and 3?" He questioned her gently. Cyra looked up in thought, not trying to figure out what she was doing at that time, but remembering what Indigo said she was doing then. "I was here, in my room. Indigo was helping me work through the problems I've been having in math." She carefully overlooked his features, trying to decipher whether he believed the lie or not. "Thank you, Cyra," He said after some silence. Ioan sighed sortly, not hearing what he expected to, but it was obvious he believed her word. "That's all I needed to know."

Ioan stood, hesitant to leave. He was convinced she wouldn't lie to him, yet he felt that Cyra knew something he didn't. He wondered what questions to ask for her to give him the information. Cyra had always been open to talk with, eager to help in whatever way she could, but since her attack she been moody and closed off. This was the first time he'd since a glimpse of her easy-going character. Ioan stooped at the door to pick up a white envelope that laid there. He opened the seal with a powerful sense of curiosity of the letter inside. He only registered a few random written words when Cyra pulled it from his hand. "Um, that's a letter.. from my boyfriend. We're very close, if you understand what I mean." Cyra explained with a furious blush. Ioan suddenly felt a little foolish. If they were really as close as she said he definitely not want to see what things were written about her in that letter. "Of course." He said abruptly as he waved her goodbye and slipped out into the hall.

Amaryllis' breathing faltered with waves of pain. She lowered herself and waited for the pain to be replaced with the refreshing feeling of strength that she was beginning to know. The moist air filled her lungs and she breathed deeply as the water absorbed into her skin and purified her physical form. She felt reborn. No words described the pure joy experienced deep in her inner being. This was what she always wanted; to feel strong and capable like everyone else. Even if it wasn't permanent.

Aralyn disagreed with her actions to the point of feeling sick deep in the pit of her stomach. They worked together once, they weren't even friends, and, yet, when she heard of Leverett's fall she felt a twinge of unfamiliar emotion, one powerful enough to overcome her instincts. She hesitated in front of the lab door. She ignored the whisperings that told her to leave and braved a quiet knock. No answer. A challenged sigh and she tried again, this time a succession of audible knocks.
