Anne nodded and turned away to let the two in. "Hey, he's awake and willing to talk. But not too long, okay? I don't want you wearing him out." She grinned at the two as she held the door open. Dimitri seemed fine, really, but it was best to take precautions.

Alexis sat up instantly when Zaine entered the room. Oh shoot. Please, don't let him be here for what I think he'd be here for, she thought worriedly.

Dimitri looked to Zaine blankly as he came in. His hand going to Alexis as her cat form sat up. What was the deal? He wondered absently.

Donella nodded, taking the plate to rinse it then grabbing a clean towel to dry it off. "I hope we can be happy here. Not like we have any other choice, really."

Andorra nodded agreement. "The concept of choosing to be happy or determined to be miserable come to mind. Who knew happiness was a choice?" She said with mild reflection.

I heard what happened and just wanted to uh stop by and um see how you were doing." Not entirely truthful, but seeing Alexis here, he assumed they'd worked something out. Meaning his purpose here was void.

Anne left to go back to the main office to give them space. Too many people in that size a room.
