Friday night I was out and didn't get back until around 11:00, and went to lock the coop up. When I went inside I found my most dumb, fragile silkie pullet had escaped from the in-coop brooder and was not moving, eyes closed, a little cold, stiff, and barely breathing. I brought her inside and put her on a heated blanket and she improved a lot , eyes bright, walking a bit, peeping. She's been eating and drinking ( electrolyte water ) a little bit, but for the most part is sleepy, and lethargic. Has anyone else dealt with this before, and if so has your chick taken awhile to improve?

If it is only hypothermia she likely can make a full recovery by being warmed. We have had a whole batch of chicks "pass out" when a storm blew the top off an outdoor brooder. The chicks were about 4 weeks at the time. How old is your chick?
