DAWG53, thanks for the warm southern welcome and I know after you read my winter blues post you are even happier outside in your 75 degrees. Your middle 40's tonight sounds sweet to me, we will have a low of 24! My hens are secured under their ceramic infrared heat bulb. I really worried about them getting frost bite on their combs last winter and bought two of these heat bulbs. They are set to come on whenever it drops below 35. This afternoon the girls finally ventured out in their yard, most of the snow was melted but they were careful to avoid the patches here and there. Didn't stay long though, their feet got cold. They kinda hop from one foot to the other and look pretty silly. Hmmm, I think I look like that a lot myself.
Used to live in Marietta, GA and went on vacation twice to Jekyll Island. Great place to relax and explore. Lucky you for being so near there!
