Chinese Geese (Swan Geese)

Hello. I am new. Our family is in the end of a bad land contract deal. We are devastated. We have 7 Chinese geese. Two geese. Five gander. One just hatched five goslings, one has hatched one is and still sitting. They are hand fed, know their names, love tomatoes. We have found homes for chickens and ducks but have not found suitable homes for the geese. We are almost homeless holding out for rental to keep them and our dog. We have until July 14. We have a pond liner, rocks, homes, 200 feet of fence and , the post and a gate, with the electric wire that will be included with the babies. They are free to a good home. But I want pics. Some people just love animals and collect them but they live in junk yards, caged and underfed. We are not rich but if you cannot tend to them in the morning and see to them nights and afford food and clean water for them daily to bathe and mate then you shouldn't have them. I have visited homes near me and this was the case. These animals are loved and cared for. They hang out with us whenever we are outside. Love to be fed clover and grass. Great alarm systems. They are domesticated and do not fly so they need security at night.They stay in the boundaries we have set for them unless it rains then they go too far and when I find them they know they are busted and head back to their night time enclosure for time out. The rain just gets them every time. I have a neighbor who threatened to shoot them so it took a few days but they learned their boundaries. They are amazing animals. Beautiful to watch. All with their own personalities. It is killing us to part with them. We wanted them 20 years. Had we known this place was a scam we would never had gotten all the chickens , ducks and geese. For three years we woke believing this was our home forever. I feel like I am abandoning them. My heart is broken. My son has had 19 broken hearts parting with his chickens and the ducks and he's about to lose his last pets.But I do have a son and we need to move now. Very sorry to hear of your troubles, sounds like an awful of ordeal. I live not far from you (maybe 10 miles?), actually looked at property in your area when we moved here 4 years ago. I wish i had a place for your geese, but i am not equipped for them. Did you post on the WV threads? I will link your post to a couple of them, maybe someone else can help.

Hello, UPDATE. I have found someone to take all the geese and goslings , they are new to caring for geese but researching and they have other fowl. But.... I have one special little preme who was the first and only I hatched after the chicken got in and pecked the ganders eyes bloody and she left and they killed them all except this one. I pulled it out , called a pro and took care of her. The mother wouldn't except her and she's always picked on. She is quiet. And she has only hatched one baby. The Gander who hatched five and her second mother already try to get in and kill that one and always pick on Angel face. I would like one special home for her and her one gosling. If possible let me know before Wednesday. That is when they are coming with their trailer to take all our babies and their belongings. And pray for us that day. It's gonna be really bad. Really bad. Last night when Isaac and I were saying our prayers I asked God to help us through the pain and Isaac added and help the babies because they are losing us and they are going to be sad. This just sucks. Oh and by the way Isaac and I are getting our own apartment. After 18 years with my narcissistic husband I am calling it quits. Isaac is in agreement. So within the next few days we will be looking at several apartments and losing every animal, even the dog most likely. Please send up prayers. I God's got us but our enemies are many and we are encompassed. Thanks for all the concern and prayers and please think one Angel Face and her gosling. Angel is just a little bigger than a duck since she was early. Thanks. Love and prayers. Enjoy your flocks. They are blessings.

Sending prayer for all. Sounds to me as if this change, although painful, will be best for you and your son. And by separating yourself and your son from the negativity will bring about things for you that will be so much better than what you've lost. God assures us that all that the enemy has taken from us will be returned to us and multiplied. And heavenly gifts can never compare to earthly ones. Hang in there! Your reward is already on it's way!
