Oh honey when I first got my camera, it was all I could to take a simple picture. Canon Rebel xTi 10.2 MP. It does more than my computer can.

Canon is all I will buy.. Mine is a step or two or three under yours I suppose. It's a PowerShot SX10 IS 10.0 MP...... Way bigger than I needed. But I bought it in case I ever needed more functions than I knew how to operate. And a bazillion pics per minute was one of them..

The reason I bought my camera is because photography is a serious hobby of mine. In another life, I was supposed to be a Time reporter traveling the world submitting award winning photos. Instead I became a mother and a secretary. I wouldn't trade what God gave me for all the money in the world either. But I still have high hopes of someday being a photographer.

My NYD hatch was my second try at incubating and my hatching incubator is a small freezer I converted. There was absolutely no way I was going through that a second time without a window. I put in a dual pane fiberglass window. I love it.

I am still only going to hatch some of my backyard eggs (mutts) to improve my incubating before I buy any more eggs.
So, I think chicken math is attacking. I lost 3 hens, 1 rooster and 5 ducks to I think coyote(s) this morning. At least the dogs chased one out of the yard that was finising off the roo. Even though I am hatching these eggs, I cant seem to get my mind off buying a few chicks locally to replace the girls (I do have to admit the rooster was slated for freezer camp for being a flogging sneak) and ording ducklings. I did find and fix the part of the fence the chickens were getting out. I have been going all over the place helping friends and had not gotten it done sooner, so my fault, but not going to happen again to the best of my ability.

I don't think I can brood Emu in the winter though. Too big too fast....we get too much snow. I learned my lesson with Pekin ducks last year. lol Big birds wait till spring. My lamb pens should be built by then and I'll just add on to the other side of that. These things are not going to fit in my coops! My coop is 8' high inside (the next one is 10) but I have too many other birds that would get squished under giant emu feet!

Can you see I've put a LOT of thought into this?
