Hmmmmm. Concept. Does that work?

I don't know but good in theory.

Yes! It works! Find what's in demand locally and start hatching. I sold every guinea keet I could hatch last year for 3-4$ each. I only had 2 layers, but those 2 birds paid the feed bill for the whole flock all spring and summer.

I have 9 layers this year!

I think I need a bigger bator!

I only did guineas for one year. Dad hates them and says they are too noisy, so no more guineas. I like them, though and I love the sounds they make.

I would love a few peafowl as well. Perhaps a pair of them.

My eggs are still hummin right along, set last week. Bator temp had to be adjusted, but its stable right now, around 99.8ish. Ones in a turner, the other I just tilt (Brinsea Eco 20, both of em) every 6 hours or so. Keeps from havin to open the bator any more then necessary.

The lone Delaware eggs, the only one I've gotten from my pair, is due to hatch tomorrow

If the eggs make it here on time, I am in. Even if they don't, they will be like my last hatch and all be a day early! I ordered some more showgirl and silkie eggs, of course.

I just went and sighted in my 9mm and the chickens didn't mind a bit. Actually the two roosters starting mounting every hen in sight!
