Yup. Me too. According to the schedule. But you and I both know the "schedule" isn't written in stone. Some variance can occur without disaster occurring. I set late on the 13th, so I will lock down on Monday evening.

Me too, they got set when I got home from work. My temps are also steady at 100 so I expect an early hatch.

Good luck to yall with lockdown and hatches!!!!

Just hopping in.
I went into lockdown this morning. Had to pull the last pure wyandotte egg as it did not develope. So, all of the 8 eggs that made it to lock down are mutts.

The last shipped egg that made it was put in for fun by the seller and is an Ameraucana x wyandotte (EE). Sure hope this tough blue egg is a hen and not a boy.

Hope everyone else gets good hatches this week.

Having hatched only once I am NO expert but I will tell you what I did with my hatch...
I had really small aircells too and was freaking out about drowning them. I left them in the main 'bator and hand turned my other eggs till day 20. Moved them into the hatcher, put water in two channels and had 6 pips at midnight. Come morning my pips were still pips, checked the water and filled both channels up with a needle and syringe through the vent. Had 6 out by midday and the last piped. Last hatched out about 9pm.

It was probably a bad idea to leave them in the main 'bator and this round I have moved them and only filled one channel in the hatcher till midday today (day 20 for me) when I used the syringe to fill the second one and top up the first.

I was constantly looking for pips when I knew I had the humidity down and it was nerve wracking but it worked for me. I had no shrink wrapped chicks but I also had no pips till after I'd raised the humidity.

I have no idea if this would work for you or if I was just lucky but I was sure they were doing to drown and just needed more time to evaporate.

I really, really hope you have a good hatch this time Wolfie

Ok I finally got to lockdown my eggs. I had to do it tonight because the morning is crazy busy! So I candled them all and saw 100% for sure movement in all the chicken eggs but one, so I took it out. That leaves me with 22. Then I candled the quail eggs I was iffy about and had a lot of quitters. But I do have 6 that I am pretty sure are good.

So I am really hoping for a good hatch! I know they are alive right now so I hope I have learned enough to keep them that way until they hatch.

Good luck to all my fellow Hatchers!!!!!

I don't have many left going into lockdown, but I have two brooders already full, and a large hatch coming on behind. I set my temperature up a little, so maybe this hatch won't be so late.

My eggs are all shipped so if I get one I am happy.

I have come to the conclusion that this hatching forum is best for grief. I love all you guys and really enjoy the stories and seeing everyone excitement!!!
