I'm having the same confusion my marans are having the dark eggs but, I'm get white and the chipmunk chicks. the breeder said the chipmunk looking ones are Black tail Red Marans. and the white ones ?? All Marans

One of the white ones has super fluffy cheeks. It's been mixed with a bearded variety.

Not sure what you mean? Like and EE
Need more information is there a book I can get that has all these varieties? This is a lot and what do I do with them ?

It could be an Easter Egger, or anything with a beard. There are quite a few bearded bird breeds. If they were making olive Eggers with their Marans, it's probably an Ameraucana mix. If you know the breeder, ask what bearded birds they have. The one with the red mark is bearded. You can see the physical difference compared to the blue marked bird. I attached a little chart of bearded varieties, but I'm not sure if that's all of the breeds with beards.
